Anybody here use Blue Apron? I have to admit it sounds tempting.

I tried 2 hello fresh meals that my daughter gave me. A meatloaf meal tasted like well meat loaf. A pork chop with cherry pan sauce meal had mold on a tomato package and the cous cous had a weird texture. No thanks, easier to make meals we know.

I received a week's worth of free dinners as a gift.

To accept the gift, I had to give Blue Apron my credit card info. That was enough for me to say NO.

A friend who used it for a while said it was high in fat and they send you the ingredients to prepare, chop, etc. How this is different from you going to the store and bringing things home to prepare, chop, etc. is beyond me.

My millennial son and his girlfriend and their friends all love to shop and cook. My son last night baked chicken with spices, roasted veggies and cooked up rice enough to eat supper and fill four pyrex covered three cup glass storage containers so he could refrigerate them and take them to work, each for each day.

He and his friends get up every morning and make oatmeal, real oatmeal, eggs and coffee each morning.

As a matter of fact, while he was cooking last night he also sliced and baked up some apples with spices to put in the fridge and spoon on his morning oatmeal.

He fires up the grill in the evenings a few nights a week to sear and bbq a meat. His friends all do this too.

They follow cooking videos on their devices, and the all really enjoy their cooking time. It seems to relax them. Sometimes I find three or four of them in the kitchen cooking.
