No other major US ally has seen public confidence in the American president drop as significantly as Germany since Donald Trump took over in the White House in January.
German public confidence in the US president has dropped 75 percentage points in a year, a new survey by the Pew Research Center shows.
During Barack Obamas final year in charge, German public confidence in the US President stood at 86 percent. But since Trump has taken over that figure has fallen to 11 percent, beating even the low of 14 percent during George W. Bushs final year in power.
Meanwhile, German favorability to the US as a whole has dropped to 35 percent from 57 percent a year ago.
In all western European countries, public confidence in the US president has dropped sharply, after the extremely popular Obama presidency. In France, public confidence dropped from 84 percent to 14 percent in the last year; in the UK, it dropped from 79 percent to 22 percent.

Yes. Where poll results cross with the State Run Propaganda Machine... assisted by Germans being 'just following orders' lemmings...
“they dont like Pershing”
They did not like the Pershing II either I believe.
Psychological projection is a theory in psychology in which humans defend themselves against their own unconscious impulses or qualities (both positive and negative) by denying their existence in themselves while attributing them to others.[1] For example, a person who is habitually rude may constantly accuse other people of being rude. It incorporates blame shifting.
This is understandable. When someone has been bumming off you for years they are often disappointed in your when you finally say NO! No more. Go do it yourself.
Europe used the money they saved by not providing their own security to create a social utopia.
President’s Trump’s election is a wake up call. Will they respond correctly are simply hit the snooze button (I think they will hit the snooze button).
And I should give a **** because?
If all you heard was the constant stream of lies coming from the MSM, you would likely lose confidence too.
Sew buttons...
And this concerns us?
The proper response should be “don’t make us have to come over and break our foot off in your collective asses...AGAIN.”
What is it that makes Germans susceptible to tyrants? They adored Obama and Clinton, both men of low calibre and terrible morals.
Well, the Germans didn’t like FDR either.
5.56mm
Germany died long ago. They won’t even fly their own flag on their houses. In another 20 years it will be all Islamic.
I don’t know what entity you’re calling “Germany”. But all of what is going on there is according to plan; they’re seeking to precipitate crisis after crisis to induce demand for a strongman leader.
What would be the correct response?
If they build a EU military, remember that one of its primary missions will be to oppose the US.
“...Will someone please remind me again why NATO still exists 25 years after the Cold War ended?...”
because they are all otherwise unemployable
With their history, I dont think Germans should be lecturing anyone.
By what I know, more than a quarter of a million American soldiers were KIA and MIA in the European Theater of WWII. The cemeteries in Germany,France and Italy are a stark reminder of our sacrifice. We did not have to do it, but we did. An opinion poll is just a FU to America and shows that the generations post WWII are ingrates and will regret their stupidity for a greater threat than the Axis is on the horizon.
I have an idea, let’s confine our work to Eastern Europe and let the Western Europeans put their confidence in a resurgent Germany or Russia.
I read 5 German papers daily. It seems that they translate the leftist rags in the USA, then paste them into their own rag. For good measure they add what they call “German wit” which is their own questionable cynicism, always bashing Trump as a fool. Remember, the Germans still think they should rule the world and that they are the smartest people ever born to this inferior world.
