I read 5 German papers daily. It seems that they translate the leftist rags in the USA, then paste them into their own rag. For good measure they add what they call “German wit” which is their own questionable cynicism, always bashing Trump as a fool. Remember, the Germans still think they should rule the world and that they are the smartest people ever born to this inferior world.
They are world class scientists and engineers but dumbshits politically.
Oh, I have to agree with that assessment.
The big-name German news magazines, daily newspapers, and the state-run public networks (ARD/ZDF) will quote WASHPO and NY Times....word for word. They spent weeks trying to explain to the public how they got the election results so wrong in predicting (again using WASHPO and NY Times).
The curious thing is that regular Germans don’t read the big papers anymore (preferring BILD), and the crowd watching the 8PM public TV news...grows less each year. I’d take a guess that only one out of twenty under the age of 25 watches their ‘brand’. There is some fear by the intellectuals that they are losing control of the news media scene.
