No other major US ally has seen public confidence in the American president drop as significantly as Germany since Donald Trump took over in the White House in January.
German public confidence in the US president has dropped 75 percentage points in a year, a new survey by the Pew Research Center shows.
During Barack Obamas final year in charge, German public confidence in the US President stood at 86 percent. But since Trump has taken over that figure has fallen to 11 percent, beating even the low of 14 percent during George W. Bushs final year in power.
Meanwhile, German favorability to the US as a whole has dropped to 35 percent from 57 percent a year ago.
In all western European countries, public confidence in the US president has dropped sharply, after the extremely popular Obama presidency. In France, public confidence dropped from 84 percent to 14 percent in the last year; in the UK, it dropped from 79 percent to 22 percent.

Germany let it be known that they were in the Obama bag back in 2007. Which struck me as weird because they don’t vote in U.S. elections. The MSM considered it very significant. I was aghast at the globalist prospects of it all.
More correctly “I don’t give a scheiss”
Who cares what the Krauts think? The pollsters are really scraping the barrel to find anti-Trump material.
Will someone please remind me again why NATO still exists 25 years after the Cold War ended?
Ok... So Trump is at about the same as where W was. Actually, the results are about where they should be.... ask a bunch of farleft Germans what they think and this is what you get. I know quite a few Germans on the other side of the political spectrum who didn’t get asked for their opinion... they really aren’t that stupid.
Well, there goes Germany’s zero votes in the electoral college. How will President Trump survive?
They attempted suicide with WWI and II. Let’s hope third time’s the charm.
The Germans we are speaking of, like many other Europeans, are so afraid of the mistakes of the past that they are making new, great-big-huge mistakes of their own.
They are letting Muslims past the proverbial gates of Vienna.
“German public confidence in the US president has dropped 75 percentage points “
Reminds me of the 80’s, Reagan’s first term.
It means we’re on the right track!
Bless their special little hearts.
Precisely. We care because??
Meanwhile German confidence that the million+ muzzies they are hosting builds to ensure that these Deutsch cuckolds will continue to watch their women and kids raped and murdered and just stand by doing nothing. Dhimmihood for the Reich, achtung !
I look at what the Germans are doing to their own country, and wonder if I should give a rat’s butt what they think of my President.
A few hundred thousand migrants & they’ll start to get the picture. The thing is that most Germans live in their own little worlds & communities away from the migrants: most aren’t exposed to their own policies.
They have no skin in the game. Same thing in Sweden. This allows them to carry on their delusions, sometimes indefinitely.
The Islamic Republic of Germany? Don’t they make the Mohammad Benz?
As opposed to me having no confidence in virtually every European country, outside of a few Eastern European outliers.
At the end of 2012, Hillary Clinton (then finished with the State Department) was invited to a live-chat prime-time German talk. The commentary was worthless (like asking Grandma what kind of apples to put into an apple pie). But for days after that....German media was all hyped up that President Hillary would arrive in January of 2017, and the world would be a fine place.
The Clinton Foundation....as far as I can tell from being a regular viewer of German public TV...has never-ever been discussed or mentioned.
Who did they POLL, MOSLEMS? HEH HEH
Those sausage chewing beer guzzlers can go pack sand.
