Scandals: The past few days have seen several interesting developments on the supposed Trump/Russia scandal. But instead of causing further damage to President Trump, they're making the entire story look like a multilayered smear campaign by Trump's enemies.
Over the weekend, the New York Post reported that the firm behind the infamous Trump dossier — Fusion GPS — has been stonewalling the Senate Judiciary Committee, which has been trying to get information on who paid the firm to produce it and how it was used by government officials.
It has been publicly known since at least early January that Fusion GPS was behind the discredited dossier, which claimed that Russia had backmailable information on Trump, and that it was a notorious opposition research firm that was often enlisted to dig up dirt on Republicans, including a 2012 smear campaign against a donor to Mitt Romney's campaign.
As the Post notes, one of the Fusion's founders, Peter Fritsch, contributed "at least $1,000 to the Hillary Victory Fund and the Hillary for America campaign."

PODESTA: The more we learn about the Russian plot to sabotage Hillary Clinton’s campaign and elect Donald Trump, and the failure of the FBI to adequately respond, the more shocking it gets. The former acting director of the CIA has called the Russian cyberattack “the political equivalent of 9/11.” Just as after the real 9/11, we need a robust, independent investigation into what went wrong inside the government and how to better protect our country in the future.
As the former chair of the Clinton campaign and a direct target of Russian hacking, I understand just how serious this is. The rest is lame history----Democrats then latched onto the Russian meme and ran with it. To the floundering Dems, it is their lifeline.
"Given that this yearlong investigation has turned up nothing, we'd argue that it's time for Robert Mueller and congressional investigators to start looking at whether the Obama administration broke any laws in its attempt to destroy the Trump presidency before it got started."
I'm in for investigation, but why give it to Mueller? Let him finish the little job he was given, take up and finish the investigations Comey described in his March 20 Congressional testimony, then go away. Mueller is a snake, and he needs to be kept in his cage.

I am not sure that McCain is capable of knowing much at all.
Doesn’t mean his employer (IBD) doesn’t limit him to posting excerpts. Would you think twice about a (long) WSJ excerpt being posted no here? If not - why? This is the same thing. IBD is like the smaller, more conservative version of the WSJ.
