Southern California police are searching for a motorcyclist who was involved in an alleged road rage incident that injured one person on Wednesday.
Around 5:45 a.m., witnesses driving southbound on State Road 14 near Newhall Avenue in Santa Clarita, California, filmed an altercation between the motorcyclist and the driver of a silver sedan, according to California Highway Patrol Public Information Officer Joshua Greengard.
In the video, the motorcyclist appears to try to kick the sedan on the right. In response, the sedan veers to the left and briefly collides with the motorcyclist before losing control and crashing into the highway divider wall.
The momentum from the crash sent the sedan toward the middle lane of the highway, where it collided with a white Cadillac pickup truck, causing the truck to overturn.

They both were irresponsible idiots. And it is always funny to see online pissing matches between motorcyclists and car drivers. The motorcycle is nothing more than a bicycle with a motor. A car, even a fancy sports car, is nothing more than a four wheel scooter with motor. No romance. They are just tools. Like hammers, guns, water hoses, and nose hair trimmers.
Yep, if you are going to PIT (pursuit intervention technique) a guy, make sure its the right one...
"...if a motorcyclist cannot handle that type of traffic..."
“If a motorist cannot prevent themselves from being filled with murderous rage over a traffic incident, they should opt for the bus, train, or simply walking.”
If a biker is so stupid as to go around kicking cars at 60 mph they should opt for the bus, train or simply walking.
"...go around kicking cars..."
The car obviously came after him, pulling a highly illegal crossing of double yellow lines to go after him. That in itself is a $$ fine in SoCal.
Lucky he did not go after a 1% type, those guys carry lengths of chain to deal with aggressive car drivers.
motorcyclist is a huge coward, but he’ll be hard to identify
Ever read the bicyclist threads where some pickup drivers fantasize mowing down those hated "Spandex wearing" cyclists? Spreading nails and tacks on the road?
kicking cars at 60 mph is not a disagreement.
You violate FR rules with your presence here.
That's exactly what happened. Experienced it a couple of times myself. Both times with middle-aged women looking at me then moving the car right over into me. The only evasion is to kick and quickly accelerate at the same time before the driver can react.
The motorcycle shown was very lucky. Wonder if the auto operator was a woman(?)
Its California, the motorcyclist is lucky the guy didn’t “Easy Rider” him.
however, for every single car driver killed by a bad motorcyclist, at least 100 motorcyclists are killed by car drivers......its probably not even that close...
>And the arrogant a*$(*&@#*^ motorcyclist just keeps going.
>I ***HATE*** with a passion the *Watch for motorcycle* signs I see everywhere.
>Its well past time motorcyclists started driving like responsible drivers too.
>I dont want to hear any whining from them about how bad the drivers are until they clean up their own act.
I’ve actually ridden my bike on that road a few times. The carpool is pretty wide. Every time I’ve used the carpool on a bike there’s always a motorist who decides to pass me in that lane which is A) illegal and B) dangerous as heck because the roadway is garbage. Hitting a bad part of the lane trying to dodge a car can wipe you out at 70+ MPH.
More than likely what happened is the car passed the biker shoving him to the edge of the lane. Biker lots his cool at kicked the car and the drive tried to kill the biker.
The person at fault? Both the biker and the car driver.
>kicking cars at 60 mph is not a disagreement.
Kicking a car at 60 does absolutely nothing to the car besides dent it. Your foot can’t push car around.
ALL participants in an accident are required to stop, regardless of who caused the crash. Anyone who takes off is in violation of the law. Depending on severity and other factors, this could lead to a misdemeanor or felony charge, with fines and up to 3 years in jail.
The biker and the driver should share a cell. They both deserve it.
Can't be as bad as this.
I have seen motorcyclists on the interstate with traffic going at least 70 MPH, drive on the dashed white line that marks the lanes and squeeze between two cars that were not going fast enough for him when they were already going over the speed limit.
That was probably the stupidest thing I've seen so far, but many other incidents like that happen on a regular basis.
You can count on motorcyclists take ridiculous risks on the road simply because they have a smaller and lighter vehicle. n I am honestly surprised when I see a responsible biker follow the rules of the road and drive like an adult.
Until they stop acting like arrogant *#(*&#$@('s, then people are not going to take seriously all the *Watch out for motorcyclist* signs or care about their whining about other car drivers.
And yes, they are hard to see and for that reason, THEY need to exercise more caution in their maneuvers instead of doing what they feel like and then blaming the other drive for not seeing them.
When you are signaling for a turn or a lane change and starting it, and the biker decides to beat you out, they have no one to blame but themselves for almost getting hit.
