I'm sure there was plenty of jawboning and extended digits from BOTH of them not seen on film.
Seeking to amputate the legs of the motorcyclist or murder the motorcyclist over a traffic disagreement is...insane.
Even if the motorcyclist kicked the car completely unprovoked, it does not warrant a death penalty and the motorist (if they did topple the rider) would have also put others at risk.
