I don't normally watch it as I get home from work just before 4PM but I sometime catch the tail end of it as I await Judge Judy.
Is it me or does it seem like everytime Llewelyn interviews the plaintiff and defendant after each case, he always acts like a smart ass towards them when questioning them? And he's always got his little snide remarks.
Guys a twerp.
It’s TV....If he ran a real court, no one would watch.
Doug Llewelyn’s reputation in legal journalism circles is beyond reproach. All you need to do is watch his interviews during the Manson trial, the Simpson trial, the Nuremberg trials, and Scopes Monkey trial.
Good Welsh name!
Am I picking up on a bit of sarcasm in your post? :=)
Doug Llewelyn is older than dirt. IIRC, he was interviewing the crazy tv litigants way back during Judge Wapner’s (RIP) tenure. Mr. Llewelyn has earned his stripes. No need to be a snowflake. Change the channel.
Doug L is 79 years old — we should all be so spry.
I think his nailing a-holes in the hall by calling them out for being a-hole’s is great.
Doug goes all the way back to the days of Wapner - he is a really great interviewer and a good part of the show.
Does it make you feel better to vent on the internet?
If the guy upsets you so much, don’t watch. You are not a victim.
Lol...what a funny post.
One of my favourite movies:

My mom and I used to watch the People’s Court all the time in the 80s.
And she still watches Judge Judy.
Hard to believe he’s 79. Wow.
I like Officer Byrd:

I was not aware Douglas Llewellyn was still alive.
Also, did not particularly care. Sorry to hear he’s a jackass, though. DouglASS.
IIRC, I remember him on Channel 20 (WDCA) in Washington, D.C., in 1966. I think he was on Channel 9 (WTOP) a little later. He laughed (in a phony manner) at his own jokes.
Don’t forget the trials of Jesus and Adam & Eve. He wrote about them in the book of LLlewellyn.
Doug Llewelyn has been doing this show since 1981. If you were almost eighty years old and had been interviewing losers this way for over 35 years you might seem a little jaded too.
Had no idea he was still around. LOL!
You’d be better off watching reruns of Perry Mason
Well yeah.
