The ‘Darth Vader kid’ and the Volkswagen(?) commercial. I think it was shown first about 5 years ago.

I will give all of these companies a “B” for effort.

All of these have been made for the homogenic, wishy-washy, castrati of the post-Berlin Wall births.

It’s either Mustang, or Dodge Challenger, with all the guts, noise, and accoutrements that make them what they have always been.

Personal favorite was a 1970’s commercial for Karmann Ghia that had it speeding on the Bonneville Salt Flats touting it as the world’s most economical sports car. Then it gets stopped in its tracks by a big paper barrier and the narrator says “It’s just not the most powerful”. Ad won a Clio Award that year.

I liked the Voldwagon commercial from several years back where the girl licks the door handle to keep others from buying the car she wanted.

But the one featuring a father protecting his son is worth the watch.

I love the good-dad one. I miss good-dads and good-men so much! I miss them in end-of-the-world movies where they take charge with logic and courage to protect the survivors. I miss them bringing order to single mother homes and teaching children about the real world.

I want our dads back!!!

The Skoda commercial was good and so was the teen age driver one, but most were OK. Also the Smart off road was good, too.

Best CARS Commercials of all Time Part 1 (Commercial at 3:14 mark is Father's Day Worthy)

We have a new contender..

A haughty grey cat riding in contemporary new (quiet) inexpensive car, as in a limousine

It sees a noisy dog on the sidewalk, noisily being a dog and jumping way up and down

It haughtily looks away and rolls the electric window closed.
