Vanity: Male or female?

Last week, I had an accident, and the EMT's (licensed and trained by NY State) told me they are now required to ask, "male or female?"

They explained that a patient might self-identify as the opposite sex, regardless of their anatomy.

I was in too much pain to question the stupidity of it.

Based on the latest liberal criteria, they are bigoted, and being binary in their thinking.

There have been at least 54 different gender identities discovered so far. If they are to be truly inclusive, they need to read off the list and ask people which they identify with.

Sorry, but asking male or female doesn’t cut it in today’s world. They think they are being liberal but they are really being restrictive and binary, by the liberals own criteria for this situation.

I don’t like to do vanity posts, but the absurdity of it compelled me to do so.

I understand the reasoning for this. If the patient identifies as the opposite sex, the EMTs can always take them to the psych hospital.
