First time four players have shot seven under for a round in a single U.S. Open. And we are not even through round 3 yet.

It's on Fox today and tomorrow. On Thursday and Friday it was on FS1 (Fox Sports 1?) for 7 hours and then Fox from 6 to 9 EDT. It was difficult to find out about FS1. Perhaps the Golf Channel doesn't want to advertise for Fox.

The announcers are not so good but at least they don't have The Shark any more.

Once in a while I’ll watch a little golf. What’s with the crowd yelling “Get in the hole” to the ball? Do they actually think the ball will listen?

Is it just me or does the course seem too easy (for these guys)? It’s very long, but distance isn’t much of problem for these guys. IMHO the fairways are too wide for a U.S. Open.

#18 is 670 yards. Justin Thomas was on on in 2 and eagled the hole. That's Insane
The players figured out fitness helps their game, and the equipment advances have made the courses obsolete. Time to make the professionals play with a ball that won't travel 350 yards.

With the soft conditions due to rain earlier in the week and last night, the conditions are too easy for these professionals. It is a course that favors players who keep their tee shots on the fairway. Bombers like Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy must have hit too many tee shots into that tall fescue which may why they missed the cut.

This course is boring to me even though I realize how super talented these players are. It seems like an LPGA tournament where the tee shots go down onto the fairway, then onto the green, then one, two or three putts. Men's tournaments usually have far more exciting shots for the TV viewer... water, rough of different types, trees in the way, etc. This course has no water and no trees.
