I’ll keep pointing out the obvious. Just like the previous battle in the intelligence community, there is a battle between Black Hats and White Hats within the U.S. Justice Department’s (FBI and DOJ) unelected career bureaucracy.

If you read the Washington Post report claiming President Trump was under investigation for Obstruction of Justice by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, you will immediately note the first paragraph was framed specifically around “Anonymous Officials“. Again, tonight those same “anonymous officials” are mentioned in a Washington Post report claiming Jared Kushner is being investigated.

Either way, recuse himself or not I see Rosenstein as a white hat on this. His recusal would benefit both him and Trump, IMO. Trump may have been giving Rosenstein an excuse to distance himself.

The problem with this whole jacked up mess is that we can’t tell who all the enemies are. Some of them are obvious. The Clintons, the GOPe, Comey, and probably Mueller all come to mind. But some aren’t. Rosenstein is one of those guys, and while he’s right that we shouldn’t trust anonymous sources, that doesn’t mean the guy is trustworthy. Certainly his decision to choose Mueller doesn’t speak well of him.

Rosenstein’s baits the public to protect the FBI. Republicans lend no assist to Trump, no defense is heard from the Hill among Republicans, but I digress.

Ros’ planted the idea that the leaks could be coming from other countries, in order to defend against the prevalent assumption that it’s the FBI leaking, which it probably is.

Mueller was going to have no leaks, remember? Yes, he runs this tight ship and no one is going to be leaking on his watch, no sireeee, no one who serves under him in this investigation.

That was the assurance, then, among all the other slobbering accolades that were showered upon the man as he being appointed.

I replied to President Trump’s tweet this morning about being hunted by the one that told him to fire Comey this way:

I don't think Trump is pulling a "John Miller." I do agree that the press is being trolled, mightily, and to the extent that the public is gullible, it is being trolled too. Mueller has no reason to recuse, and will see this through to the truth - or what the press will have a hard time denying is "the truth." If Mueller produces a 100 page report supported with 20,000 pages of investigation and NONE of it shows even a hint of what the press and DEMs have been alleging through innuendo, Mueller will become a pariah to the press.

I'm not saying Mueller is an all around white hat. But the more the press rises to his defense (as they did with Comey), the less credible their turning on him later.

And Comey's testimony before the U.S. Senate completely undermined his own credibility on that matter. One minute he's telling the Senate panel how he's absolutely certain that Trump's "hope" statement was an order to shut down the Flynn investigation, and then (literally about two minutes later) he responded to a different question by claiming that he doesn't "read the president well." He'll probably never be seen or heard from again after that incoherent series of answers.

It's a "Kangaroo Court" because it's being orchestrated by the guy who is supposedly the target of the whole investigation. LOL.
