A husband and wife live a 'food-free' diet and claim they survive by only eating vegetable broth or fruit a handful of times a week. Akahi Ricardo, 36, and Camila Castello, 34, who live between California and Ecuador, said they have forgotten what hunger feels like and believe humans can be sustained solely by the 'energy that exists in the universe and in themselves'. Mother-of-two Camila even practised a 'breatharian' pregnancy, only eating solids five times during the nine months she was carrying her first child. 'Humans can easily be without food, as long as they are the connected to the energy that exists in all things and through breathing,' Camila said.

Isn’t this child abuse?
You are eating a low glycemic diet. That’s why you feel so good. You were insulin resistant. Congratulations!
Well, I guess I am going to have to be a Heavy “Breatharian”...
I guess we live between Greenland and Antarctica. So there you go...
Didn’t Jesus say in response to why He was not eating when everyone else did, “I have a food you do not know of.”
John 4
The Disciples Rejoin Jesus
27 Just then his disciples returned and were surprised to find him talking with a woman. But no one asked, What do you want? or Why are you talking with her?
28 Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, 29 Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah? 30 They came out of the town and made their way toward him.
31 Meanwhile his disciples urged him, Rabbi, eat something.
32 But he said to them, I have food to eat that you know nothing about.
33 Then his disciples said to each other, Could someone have brought him food?
34 My food, said Jesus, is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. 35 Dont you have a saying, Its still four months until harvest? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. 36 Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together. 37 Thus the saying One sows and another reaps is true. 38 I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor.
I sometimes eat candy - and seem to have no problem with it. How does that fit in with low glycemic diet?
I’ve stopped (or at least cut down) a lot because I started noticing my feet get puffy at night- thought it was “pre-diabetes” that’s all the rage these days...
I am not any kind of hypochondriac- I am a scientists and more than a casual observer of cause and effect
(PS thank you)
I live between Lima and New York but I am planning to move. Don’t like the weather. It is always changing. I hear between the Maldives and Princeton, NJ is nice, gets a westerly breeze all day.
hee hee... that was a long setup for that punchline
“not with a bang but a Snicker.”
Good one!
This is not new. The people who claim to do this cheat, and the people
who believe in them die. Incredible hubris.
Just like the terrorist in the Israeli jail who was caught cheating on his “hunger strike”.
I call them lying nut cakes.
not with a bang but a Snicker.
Nice. LOL.
So, they are illegal aliens?
They should go back to Mexico.
Because Mexico is somewhere between California and Ecuador.
Absolutely - I lost 5 pounds in a week during a hospital stay for ankle surgery (back when you actually got admitted for such things), and a friend was recuperating from a heart attack and was starving on the 1200-calorie diet they had him on. He finally talked them into more food because of his size - he was just a large-boned man, not a fatty.
Which one? New York, Ohio or Peru?
I've noticed that too. I think the Pantone name for the color is "Morgue".
