Top Democrat donor pushes for Trump impeachment
The Hill ^ | 6/10/17 | Josh Delk

Leading Democratic Party donor Tom Steyer is asking lawmakers to begin the impeachment process for President Trump.

Steyer, whose superPAC NextGen Climate Action poured about $100 million into the 2016 election, penned a letter Friday to Congress persuading them that Trump had obstructed justice and asking them to begin the impeachment process.

In the letter, Steyer argues that the “clear and undisputed facts about Mr. Trump’s attempt to impede an FBI investigation demand an immediate impeachment inquiry by the House of Representatives.”

The letter was first reported by The Huffington Post.

According to Steyer, Trump’s alleged interference into the investigation of his campaign’s possible ties to Russia “clearly meets the standards of impeachment” as set by the articles drafted against former Presidents Richard Nixon in 1974 and Bill Clinton in 1998.

Most Democrat lawmakers have publicly avoided talk of impeachment even as controversy swirls around Trump.

In a press conference Wednesday, Reps. Al Green (D-Texas) and Brad Sherman (D-Calif.) announced they are drafting articles of impeachment against the president.

Steyer has missed the boat. Impeachment at this time is passé. First, the sentence, then the verdict, then the trial, and then finally impeachment.

Based on what exactly? Impeached for what other than you just don’t like him.

Like a very rich child, like an extremely spoiled royal brat, stomping his feet, screaming, holding his breath till his face turns blue.

Let’s investigate this a-hole.

An IRS audit should do the trick. But, being the commie POS he is and how corrupt the IRS is he would probably come out ahead.

The good news: This punk has wasted a LOT of money on failed candidates. The bad news: He has plenty to spare and what he has wasted is barely a nick on his worth.

With the unconditional support of the media, the left is beginning to act as though they can control who does or doesn’t hold elected office. If they prevail, freedom will be lost, totalitarianism will reign and Orwell’s predictions will become reality. As of now, it’s not looking too promising for the good guys.

hugh? “Possible ties” when there’s not even enough for a “Trump Russia” investigation is enough for “clear” basis for impeachment?

These people assert fantasy. It’s all theater. It’s squarely against the will of the American people and their elected President, and there’s a word for that.

The elite don’t like Trump.

They are going to try the soft way out first, then the hard way.

There will be no impeachment of President Trump as long as the GOP controls the House (unless Trump committed some high crime or misdemeanor - which he hasn’t).

Even the NeverTrump RINO’s who despise Trump know full well if they sign onto the article of Impeachment the DimRats are submitting they are signing their own political death warrants! Most all who voted for them also voted for Trump and still support him!

“clear and undisputed facts about Mr. Trump’s attempt to impede an FBI investigation demand an immediate impeachment inquiry by the House of Representatives.”

One man’s word against another man’s word does not constitute “clear and undisputed facts.” Without tapes or witnesses corroborating the accusation, there is no case. Even if Comey’s account is 100% true, stating one “hopes” the case against Flynn ends is not direction to end the case.

It is long past time for the GOP to take control of the news cycle. Go after Lynch and Comey. Turn the tables and put the Democrats and the media on the defensive.

“I’m sure Steyer is guilty of SOMETHING.”

I would not doubt it. I believe that he made a lot of money on real estate deals that involved California politicians, and hedge fund speculating on solar deals that received a bunch of Federal subsidies, guarantees and bailouts.

2015 - Democrats tell voters that their opinions don’t really matter, they’ll do things like they want, despite their opinion.

2016 - After being exposed doing exactly what they said they would, Democrats are utterly shocked that the anointed one didn’t win the White House and begin a months long fit.

2017 - One of the more verbose pay to players in Democrat circles pens a letter demanding the 2016 elections be overturned by liberal fiat. This decisive decision will of course erase all that bad blood over stabbing Bernie in the back over and over again.

Yep, yep, totally a plan which will work this time, ignoring the will of the voters to appease their core hubris. So please, file those impeachment papers - it for sure will seal the deal in those split districts and totally won’t cost them any more seats...

The only NeverTrumper RINO’s that possibly might sign onto the DimRat article of impeachment are ones that are NOT running for reelection in 2018 and don’t have to face their (and Trump) voters again. Not enough of them to make a difference.

Even if God Forbid the DimRats regained control of the House and impeached Trump for nothing, it would still take 2/3 of the Senate (normally 67 votes) to convict him and remove him from office. Short of Trump actually doing something to warrant his impeachment and removal from office, no way will they get close to 67+ senators voting for conviction/removal from office!

Impeach Trump because of Global Warming ? LOL

_______________________________________

If this fraud really believed in man made global warming, he would insist that China and India reduce, not raise their emissions. Since they don't care about China and India, that's proof that it isn't about global warming. At least that idiot James Hanson insists that every nation drastically reduce their emissions.

"Trump was not under investigation, so it is impossible for him to impede an investigation. He is in charge of all investigations. They work for him. He doesn’t work for them."

And this, is the ultimate bottom line.

"They have egos that only work in California Los Angeles, San Francisco & most of the coast!"

Not all CA are lib nut jobs. In fact, most ranchers, farmers, large land owners and rural folks are about as rock ribbed conservative / pro U.S.A. as they come. It's just that all those millions of people are outnumbered by all those many more millions from those lib areas.

The State of Jefferson would negate a lot of that.

Impeachment? We deal in facts only.

The Constitution sets specific grounds for impeachment. They are "treason, bribery, and other high crimes and misdemeanors."

Treason = None

Bribery = None

High Crimes = None.

Misdemeanors = None.

So, can we drop this impeachment talk?
