In some of the wealthiest neighbourhoods of the United States, a growing number of wealthy men are taking drastic measures.
A recent New York Post story Hamptons bachelors are getting vasectomies so gold diggers cant trap them takes all we deem true about reproductive power that women ultimately hold all the aces and blows it out of the water.
It tells the calculated tales of four men including a wealthy, promiscuous real estate developer who claims he caught a woman trying to inseminate herself from a condom shed offered to flush away. The vasectomy is insurance, he says.
Dr. David Shusterman, a New York urologist who performs the procedures, explains: Theres a spike in single guys who get the procedure in spring and early summer.

Dont snip and change what god has given you
Marriage.. the cure for sex period.
Your proposal is fine but it is heavy on making the child a pawn in a system of monetary transactions. I don’t buy into that concept.
A child needs so much more than money. He needs love and stability and (preferably two) adults who are always there for him no matter what adult problems they are having with each other.
We really have to get away from the whole notion of children being a burden and trying to figure out a way to shift the burden around to someone else. Yes, it costs money to raise a child, but it also costs time, and love and emotion and fear for their safety and well being. A child is a huge “cost” if you want to look at it that way.
But a child is a blessing. I wish we could look at it that way.
If we could we could get away from abortion and abandonment and all the bad things of the past ... or at least minimize them.
I thought that condoms had a spermicide ...

Some do , some don’t...
Stop assuming that. It applies to everyone, but it’s just that it’s much easier for men to screw endlessly. No pain, no “non-STD” infections, no pregnancy; maybe an occasional STD. Basically all pleasure for the man.
The article was about men being victimized by women. Hence the emphasis on men’s tactics to avoid it.
But I’ve experienced alot of misogyny and goodol’boy crap from men on FR in many such threads that I was fully expecting to see “ohwhoaismeuspoormen” from such a headline. Glad to see those “self-righteous” posts aplenty, for a change. Sick of rolling over for sin, which is destroying our civilization.
I’ll say it again, it indeed applies to everyone.
I have no problem with men “taking custody” of the child, None whatsoever.
But single parenthood is not the ideal no matter who the “custody” parent is. That is a Band-Aid solution at best. Better than abortion, sure. But we should aim higher than that.
It is rather ironic that the puritans demand that sex be restricted to a married couple, isn’t it. “Only for procreation, not for recreation.”
“So its better to just continue on wronging the child as has been the way since forever?”
If you have a solution that doesn’t wrong the children, or the men, or the women, we’d all love to hear it.
“Also, taking care of your own flesh and blood child is not a wrong against you.”
Lacking equal protection under the law is a wrong.
“Your proposal is fine but it is heavy on making the child a pawn in a system of monetary transactions. I dont buy into that concept.”
That’s already the system that we have now, it just strictly favors the woman and gives no recourse to the men. You seem pretty fine with defending THAT system.
Even that won’t work.
I’m defending the concept of people who co-create a child being BOTH responsible for that child ... and not just monetarily.
I’m defending not looking a child as a burden or a punishment or pawn between bickering adults. I’m defending the idea that two adults who create a child should be joining forces to be the best parents they can be to their own flesh and blood child.
I’m not defending the system we have now. It is horrible, mostly for children. We can do better than that.
Good luck looks like those boys could just spread them apart anyways
OK, then have the child taken at birth, put up for adoption, and have BOTH biological parents assessed EQUALLY for child support, with full enforcement mechanisms.
My point is that any measures to discourage premarital pregnancy WILL NOT WORK, unless the woman gets hit TOO.
No, it's not. Women are the gatekeepers to sex. It used to be that the incentives were for women to demand marriage before sex. Nothing gets fixed unless that comes back.
Large Study Finds No Link Between Vasectomy and Prostate Cancer Risk
OK, let's hear YOU come up with a solution, rather than just sniping at what others say.
The solution is to promote the concept of personal responsibility (for everyone not just some) and the concept of children as a good for all, not a waste by-product of sex.
Right. No personal responsibility for men.
same as ever.
There would be personal responsibility for men. I'm just in favor of ending "no personal responsibility for women".
