I’m defending the concept of people who co-create a child being BOTH responsible for that child ... and not just monetarily.
I’m defending not looking a child as a burden or a punishment or pawn between bickering adults. I’m defending the idea that two adults who create a child should be joining forces to be the best parents they can be to their own flesh and blood child.
I’m not defending the system we have now. It is horrible, mostly for children. We can do better than that.
OK, let's hear YOU come up with a solution, rather than just sniping at what others say.
“Im defending the idea that two adults who create a child should be joining forces to be the best parents they can be to their own flesh and blood child.”
So what are you proposing in practical terms? Forced marriages?
I mean, arguing that everyone should be morally upstanding is great, but that isn’t a rejoinder to the argument that the laws need to treat people equally even if they do not live up to your moral standards.
