Donald Trump is in the news every day, so it was no surprise that there was a Trump impersonator on the Season 14 premiere of Americas Got Talent. But it was a surprise when the pseudo Trump broke into song.
Donald J. Trump, as he called himself, hit the stage with American flags waving and the audience booing. The fake Trump said, We are going to make Americas Got Talent great again. Its gonna be huge. Right away, Howie Mandel had some words of caution for the Trump twin, saying, This better be good, or theyre gonna build a wall around you, and this audience is gonna pay for it. But once the fake Trump started performing, people on both sides of the aisle got onboard.
The Trump impersonator yelled out, Players! Put your pinky rings up to the moon as Bruno Marss 24K Magic started playing and he started dancing around the stage. Trump singing about gold makes perfect sense, but that wasnt the only golden performance the singer-in-chief put on. He continued with another Bruno Mars hit.
By the end of Uptown Funk, the pseudo Trump had almost everyone on his side, except for Mel B, who apparently joined the #NeverTrump movement. Mel said Trump wasnt that good of a singer, to which the fake president replied, Many people are actually saying I am the best singer in the history of the universe.

I think he’s an old school impressionist, I liked it
Well, he did such a good job himself.
There were a few and plenty of cartoonists.
SNL had Obama impersonators. They exaggerate physical traits and mannerisms.
This guy gets an A+ for originality. I’m a Trump supporter and it wasn’t offensive at all to me. It was funny and very well done.
Yes, I watched this with the family. Mel B gave him the big red X right away, just because he looked like DJT. Didn’t even give him a chance. As he continued with his act, the crowd that was largely booing him were on their feet, clapping and loving then guy. I told my wife it was a microcosm of what actually happened in the election. It was a beautiful thing to behold.

Trump talent
Thanks
Any comparison between impressionist of Obama’s
mannerisms and the POTUS, should make one think
about the sense of humor that Dems exhibit - snarky first,
then making fun of their political enemies.
Trump knows humor and this is just plain fun. Loved it.
Besides, one can’t make fun of a minority, not allowed, right? s/ White balls matter!
Laugh out loud funny. The actor has the audience wrapped. Good show.
Heidi said something anti-Trump, too, along the lines of she doesn’t like Trump usually but liked the act..something like that. Guess she had to get it out there somehow that she is anti-Trump. I found her and Mel B annoying having to go political rather than just enjoy the show.

It was actually pretty funny.I remember when he was on the show talking through the mirror on that comedians show and how he slayed them and that was the jumping off point for his presidential run. This had the same flavor to it and the audience(booed at the start) loved it.It was good fun and I bet Trump would think it was pretty good.
Loved it bigly!
Howie Mandel’s quip is actually funny.
.
I get it Sub; its just that the BS level has been so high for so long that my patience is worn through.

As I recall, there was a rodeo clown who had a long history of lampooning presidents - but his career was destroyed for doing Obama.
I was utterly disgusted with the producers of AGT for carefully portraying our PRESIDENT as universally hated and despised.
They curate the audience shots. I’ve been in their audiences at least a dozen times with my kids. They have us fake reactions when they do audience pans and close ups. “Everyone look disgusted now!” “OK, now present you just saw the most heartwarming thing you’ve ever seen!” Etc. And then they edit the sh** out of what they show. In fact, that opening night, there was an error when they showed Simon talking interspersed with an act he was speaking to on stage, and different people were sitting behind him just “seconds” later as he continued speaking. They splice in acts from different days all the time.
So the producers set it up that when the fake Trump simply walks onto the stage with his flags and podium and fake SS agents, that the audience would be booing and making the X sign with their arms already, etc. Mel B hit her X buzzer the second she saw him. Another judge mentioned that she disliked the President.
True, everyone (except Mel B) liked the act because he was very funny. But that isn’t the point. The point is that a summer family show MADE SURE TO SHOW THAT AMERICA HATES THEIR OWN PRESIDENT and that was very wrong. Since the producers are not all American, it’s insulting and disrespectful.
They had at least one Obama impersonator on AGT. I remember the audience views they chose to show when the Obama walked onto the stage was awe, hand over the mouth, IS IT REALLY HIM kind of expressions. Exactly like they had this last season on Britain’s Got Talent, the mother show, when “the Queen” walked on stage. It’s a look containing respect for the station of the leader as well as shock, COULD THIS REALLY BE HIM / HER?
But with Trump the reaction was only slightly milder disgust than if Adolf Hitler strolled out. This reaction was CHOSEN BY THE PRODUCERS which I find almost as bad as Kathy Griffin.
“Despite all current trials and travail
My sense of humor still doth prevail
Some want to give this guy the knuckle
While I sip some wine and have a chuckle !”
LOL, he’s good. When I get a minute, which are at a premium these days, I’m going to look for the whole performance on Utube. Hope I can find it.
Same here. He hasn’t been President 5 months yet, and he has done SO much. I had said when he became the nominee that if he only did something for the veterans, he would have done enough to suit me. We now have the Veterans Choice Act. To Planned Parenthood he said, “You can keep all your funding for women’s healthcare if you stop doing abortions.”
He’s going to celebrate a birthday June 14, Flag Day. Fitting, yes? I LOVE him and will celebrate his birthday.
The only negative was that Brit b*tch who didn’t even give him a chance.
Typical liberal.
