There will always be jargon, and some become overused.
Even if we ban all of these, there will be new ones tomorrow.

My peeve is "think outside the box" when it comes from people who have yet to master thinking inside the box.

“Put a pin in it” What they really mean is “we don’t want to discuss this topic now, because it’s uncomfortable, or we don’t have the competence to effectively debate you, or we don’t want to deal with what you’re going to tell us.”

They left off ‘synergistic’ and ‘diversity’.

Theirs a local radio commercial by a business copier company where the owner warns against other competitors who want to “partner” with you. And if you hear that phrase; grab your wallet and run.

He goes on to say that you don’t need another mouth to feed (possible cliché, but OK). He says “I don’t want to be your partner, I want to be your vendor”.

I know I’m impressed. Straight forward talking.
