They weren’t messed up in the head.....they knew what they were doing to this girl. I imagine she was more than beat and starved...
I no longer by the label these are mental cases or insane.....which is used as an excuse for crimes against others. They obviously knew what eating was all about and deliberately withheld food from this girl. That’s a decision someone makes and has nothing to do with mental illness.....it has to do with being cruel and abusive to another individual period to the point of death.....therefore it’s murder...and they all should be charged with such.
I am for the death penalty in such cases....murder someone..you die...period.
What they did was ‘murder by starvation’.....56 pounds at the time of death speaks for itself. Physical and emotional abuse deprived her of fending for herself in every way. ..and all this by every member of the family. She had no chance whatsoever of freeing herself from these monsters.

Apparently, she was being homeschooled and if she was ever in a public school, the school would have no criminal responsibility.

There are a plethora of other charges, but thus far, this is not a murder case.
Saying this is not a case for murder does not mean it wasn’t murder. How our court system determines this is of no consequence to me....I see it as murdering this girl.
It looks like the girl was killed or at least neglected and abused to the point to where she died.
However, the kidnapping charges and the cousin admitting to denying her food and water in pretty damn damning.
But like I indicated before, I think the defense is going to center around the victim being self-abusive, Anorexic and or Bulimic.
Even of that is the case, there is major neglect and failure to seek medical treatment.
And with five defendants, at least one will try to save their own skin. Cousin Josie may be in some deep sh1t but she looks nuts and probably has some serious drug issues.
We all need to join soon and as a society reject the asylum. You can’t pick up the news at all these days without reading something outrageous.
All evil needs to prevail is for good men to stand by and do nothing.
I can stomach a lot usually. Overseas I saw a lot of crazy things, but what hits me in the stomach is when the innocent kids are targeted. Nothing will flip the switch faster than someone trying to or actually harming children.
After the switch goes, I hope God forgives me for what comes next.

It would be interesting to know if or not her brother “drop kicking” her down the stairs was what took her life in the end. I can’t recall just now if they said one way or the other.

The brother probably has the mind of animal torturing, child molestimg, axe murderer. But, from what I have read, his kicking her down the stairs did not kill her.
I wish I could say the brother will never walk the streets again, but hopefully he will be in a cage for more than 20 years.
That guy scares me. The other are just evil human filth.
But human filth that has a defense.
Personally I wouldn’t have any issue if abusers were hung. Our nation stopped protecting children long ago.....it’s like a free for all today in how children are treated.
You can imagine what the drop kicking son looks like.
