“Many people in Switzerland , Canada and several other countries would say they same thing about theirs .”

good, I believe they should. It’s a good thing to think that your -something- is the best -something-. I’m no exception.

Nothing specifically personal, but I stopped watching the Indy 500 when all the foreign drivers took over. Is nothing sacred?

Drifting is based on “power sliding.” Just pushed to the nth degree. We used to have drifting contest with our gokarts. I could spin mine in circles and maintain control and come out straight. The racing aspect has been taken out of it now, but it’s still based on that old racing technique. We raced a lot here when I was young. I had a fast kart, very low to the ground, which gave me great control. I never did get used to it on a car with a suspension. Except for my hot-rodded Opel Manta with very stiff gas shocks.

Don’t know about number 1, but Imperial Japan was a thing before Commodore Perry sailed up and said hello. Japan had periodically been invading the mainland for centuries, as the Koreans could well explain.

There’s still more passing in 30 laps of Indy cars on an oval than there is in most entire NASCAR races, and more than there is in half a season of F1.

Their racism is their strength. I’ve been in Japan on occasion and, while the atmosphere was cool to whites, the safety inherent in their society is amazing. Kudos to Japan for keeping the muslims and other mongrels out of their country. And if the Japs hadn’t been involved in automotive tech, the Indy 500 would still be powered by alky Offies with top speeds in the 160’s.

The Japanese certainly excelled in electronics and optics too.

Agreed. The Japanese are very talented! My post was not meant to disparage the Japs.

Yea, do you want a more offensive term or are you just looking for some reason to be offended?

“And lest ye forget, the General who spearheaded the Allies to victory against the Nazis, was a German, himself, Eisenhower.”

Excellent point! Thank you.
