The 1978 Holiday Special not so much.

Hey, if you watch it with the RiffTrax commentary, the Holiday Special is a lot of fun!

40 seems like an awfully high number for “greatest” moments.

Even 40 merely great moments would be a stretch.

None of the Star Wars prequels or sequels can hold a candle to the originals. Just don't understand why Lucas sat on it for so long. Should have let Spielberg or Cameron directed.

The prequels absolutely sucked toenail fungus (OK, the 3rd one was somewhat great, with Yoda kicking butt and all). Even the Family Guy parodies were better.

Remember when adults pursued adult interests? What happened to that?

Yeah, pretty much all of the moments from the prequels aren’t good (”let’s turn elite Jedi training into some lame public school class—complete with kiddie lightsabers!”) or contrary to the established characters’ personalities (Yoda the Force philosopher/mystic [”luminous beings are we, not this crude matter!”] goes Charles Bronson suddenly?).

It’s almost like Lucas has no idea what he’s doing...

Somebody needs to lay off the death sticks and rethink their life if they are serious about all of the TFA scenes included

My opinion is prejudiced, since I had the privilege of acting alongside Mark Hamill during high school in Yokohama (Clifford Goldsmith’s “What a Life,” he was Henry Aldrich and I was the school principal). The original trilogy is essentially a horse opera in space, complete with pseudo-Buddhist cosmology. I’ve never watched any of the others.

Editing out Sebastian Shaw and putting in Hayden Christensen in his place at the end of “Return of the Jedi” was one lame move, IMHO.

I think “Let the Wookie win” should have been included somewhere.

The Jedi doofuses drop their light sabers about 40 times. An elegant weapon my ass.

The first two were really fun. I have no idea which episodes they were. Return of the Jedi started out OK but then ran into the Ewok idiocy.

All the rest were OK except the latest one (I think it is the latest one) where the Black storm trooper has blood on his helmet. That one just died.

What did we miss?

The moment Luke realized Leia was his sister, thinking back to the kiss she gave him, and understanding that the Force could not reveal everything in life to him.

Star Wars was a good movie to see with a nice pot buzz. Alien, not so much. When that critter blew out of that egg, I jumped about a foot out of my seat...
Har, I laugh NOW..

No science fiction franchise has been more influential than Star Wars.

What absolute rubbish. Probably no major sci-fi money maker has contributed less to the genre. Take away ALL of the iconography of Star Wars

and science fiction wouldn't be the least bit affected or the poorer for it.
