they used a lot of crochet snoods on Srugim. There was a variety of head gear..including the Ultra Orthodox gay guy who marries an ultra orthodox woman who wears the sheitel

It was interesting to see the whole ritual, worry, etc over a woman and her period. One started her period as she was getting married. They weren’t suppose to touch etc.

Don’t know if the show goes into it, but the crocheted kipas for men indicate identification with the Religious Zionist movement as opposed to black satin or velvet kipas or hats for traditional Orthodox and chassidim. Don’t know if crocheted head coverings for women carry the same meaning.
