Don’t know if the show goes into it, but the crocheted kipas for men indicate identification with the Religious Zionist movement as opposed to black satin or velvet kipas or hats for traditional Orthodox and chassidim. Don’t know if crocheted head coverings for women carry the same meaning.
can’t remember if they wore crochet. there were a lot of different kinds that the men wore.
It delved into a lot of religious suffering and angst in the modern age for modern men and women who wanted to be religious....much of which flew right by me.
