Pinging the list.
I will have to leave shortly for weight training class, but will be back soon, lord willing and the “crick don’t rise”
Three feet of snow on the ground from the last few days.
We’ve been dehydrating papayas and mangoes
Lost our Cherokee Purple (have a replacement ready to go in), but all the other tomatoes are thriving, despite a sudden cool spell—30s at night; 40s/50s daytime, with off & on rains. Far cry from last week’s 80s!
All the cool season crops are naturally loving it.
Potatoes are starting to emerge.
Ate asparagus for about 2 weeks; letting it rest now.
Our 9 old ladies are giving us 6-8 eggs/day.
Sorry to hear of your respiratory problems. We have had a few record breaking hot days. The lettuce is giving out and so are the pansies. I’ve had a good crop of both. Planting summer flowers in the bare spaces. Lilies have lots of buds on them. Tomatoes developing buds. Had to resow bush cucumbers and basil as the original set have not sprouted. Hope the second sowing sprouts as they would go very well with the tomatoes. Be well!
Well, I had 15 of 16 Bush Early Girl seeds. Grew indoors for 2 months - never got big but looked healthy. One day in the Sun and they’re all pretty much dead. I’m trying some 20 cent seeds I got at Walmart. Put radishes (not my taste per se) in where they were today.
Same thing with carrots - 2-1/2 inches - dead after one day in the Sun. I have no idea how I grew a few dozen (tiny) carrots last year. They were outside the whole time. Must have been different breed.
So I’m going to try the cheap tomato and carrot seeds. 40 cent investment.
Meanwhile, the WM Bush Early Girl plant has 23+ tomatoes growing on her. Amazing.
