FULL TITLE: Outrage as Missouri lawmaker argues there is a 'distinction' between gay people and 'being a human being'
A Republican lawmaker in Missouri sparked an outrage after he said there was a 'distinction' between gay people and 'being a human being'.
Rep. Rick Brattin (R-Harrisonville) was arguing against an amendment for Senate Bill 43 to ban discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity in matters of employment, housing or public accommodation.
Making a case that the amendment would limit religious liberty, Brattin said: 'When you look at the tenets of religion, of the Bible, of the Quran, of other religions, there is a distinction between homosexuality and just being a human being.'
Brattin went on to describe transgender people as 'crossdressers' saying: 'Nobody says you need to hate anyone. It is wrong to hate and cast judgement on someone.
'But you have a policy in place that you don't want someone to show up that was a guy yesterday to show up as a girl today and you believe that's wrong and you don't believe that's fitting for your company, then I have that right to say: "No, I'm sorry, you are not going to show up as a cross-dresser today in my business."'

No,no distinction.Deep depravity is all-too-often seen in those who are fully human.
I presume that he’s trying to say that we are endowed by our Creator with rights by virtue of being human beings, not by virtue of being of some particular grievance class.
It is a mental disorder, but we are still all human. And here I thought only the left could be so clueless. But then again the supposed quote could be fake news.
He seems to be trying to say that homosexuality is a behavioral choice, while being a human being is an ontological classification.
If that is what he was trying to say, he did a very poor job of it.
Freedom of association. Government has no business telling me with whom I must associate, or do business with.
He’s trying to say homosexuality is a behavior. Like pederasty, bestiality, etc. It is a bad behavior. We shouldn’t encourage, normalize, or be forced to accept it on our property or in our private lives...and in many cases in our public lives.
Maybe like the rest of us he’s sick of it being forced in our face.
That doesn’t make him coherent.
I suspect you are right in your analysis, but, no matter what he says to clarify, the pervert left will hound him.
“Survival of the fittest,” a standard phrase used by Darwinists deserves mention here. If the “law’ is true, which it is not, then homosexuals should have been bred out long ago. So does this show it is a moral choice and not based on genes? Chew on that one......
Lordy I wish politicians would think before opening their mouths and inserting their feet
I know I am! Sick of it!
Perhaps this phrasing would have been more coherent:
...there is a distinction between homosexuality and just being a human being
normal.'
Did you mean foot holster?
I don’t think that would help much, in context, but it makes more sense.
Actually, theres a workable hypothesis that reproductive dysfunction increases relative to stress and the demand placed on the reproductive resources in a social system.
If we look at Romans chapter 1, the worship of created things is associated with proliferation of moral dysfunction, and increase in social stress, and a decline in sociobioligical/reproductive fitness.
Sort of a Natural self-destruct mechanism for self-worshiping cultures.
Observe the social lifecycle of bees when the hive is near the end of its reproductive lifespan - the female workers, not having the pheromone of the Queen to prohibit them, begin laying (unfertilized) eggs - thus producing mass quantities of drones.
Large numbers of drones are a sign of a dying hive.
Let that grow on yer shrooms for a while!
Thanks to this moron, this dumb amendment is going to pass with flying rainbow colors.
That would still provoke outrage, but at least it would be accurate.
