Baby names: Caitlyn plunges on new most-popular list

WASHINGTON (AP) The popularity of the name Caitlyn has plummeted more than any other baby name, a year after Caitlyn Jenner announced her new name and gender.
In fact, Social Securitys annual list of the most popular baby names shows that the four names that dropped the most were all variations of the same name: Caitlin, Caitlyn, Katelynn and Kaitlynn.

My innocent daughter saw an advert for a local “Pride Parade”, and asked if we could go. My wife and I gently explained that this was not the kind of “pride” that she thought it was.

I looked at two lists of popular African American baby names [their terminology, not mine]. Barack wasn’t on either, but Malik was on both.
Malik is the Obama half brother who has been very critical of Barack.

My great-niece gave birth to a girl yesterday, named her "Olive". Poor little thing will forever be called "Olive Oyl".
