I take turmeric because it is an anti-inflammatory.

I mix it with water into a thick paste and try to drink it.

Any attempt to make it more palatable using almond milk or honey is simply a waste of almond milk and honey.

It tastes like dirt. It decreases my back pain for a good 48 hours after taking it, but I take a lot, like two heaping tablespoons per glass.

I mix it with water into a thick paste and try to drink it.

You should also add a little black pepper, and the almond milk, or something else with fat. Black pepper and a little fat increase absorption.

PS: If you go my route, then eschew the white man’s store, and get it at the Indian store.

It costs about one twentieth there what an equivalent amount would cost at the white man’s store. I get it in 1 lb bags for about $7.

It dissolves well in whole warm milk; quite tasty in fact. I usually mix with a touch of coffee for a relaxing beverage in the winter.

DH does the same for the same reason but he mixes it in some applesauce.

I have been taking it in a capsule. Many at our company had been taking it and got me started. It works. I have had costochondritis for decades and it helps with that.

Turmeric is oil soluble but not water soluble — mix it with milk instead and add some black pepper in order to make it more effective. Browse YouTube for turmeric and get more complete info.

I make up capsules using gel caps and a little filling machine that fills 24 at a time. If you take it with black pepper, it makes it much more available, so you have to take much less for the same results.

Be careful - large doses can lead to kidney stones.

Me too! I take the powder for headache pain.

I just put a spoonful of the stuff into my mouth and then wash it down slowly with water. Note: don’t try to swallow the whole spoonful at once.
