“Spellbound” 1945 Gregory Peck, Ingrid Bergman.
Peck’s character (from wikipedia) “has a peculiar phobia about sets of parallel lines against a white background.”

Note the size of the ankles.
Best to scroll most of the pic off the screen, just be safe.

Years ago at work there was a new rule that required the black-and-yellow caution tape be applied to certain floor areas and machines. Over one weekend someone went crazy applying caution stickers and tape to my CNC machine. I could not stand near it without that tape triggering the full-blown migraine visual sparkly blind spots, nausea, bleah just thinking about it. It was
everywhere - on the floor, all over the machine, near the power switch, everywhere.
So I gradually started peeling off all the offending crap, slowly so no one noticed it disappearing. The tape on the floor was soon too dirty to be seen, and the migraines never came back.

Venetian blinds and zebra crossings...
What's a "zebra crossing?" And how do you make a venetian blind?

I’m going to hell for this, but note where your eye inevitably ends up if you follow those stripes, and the pattern “at the end of the rainbow”. Ugh

Other researchers say you can offset the effects of stripes by combining them with checks.

Don't be alarmed, your eyes can't help themselves. Nothing can escape the locus of Hillary's pants stripes and their gravitational pull:

light, stray planets, gray matter--nothing.

As an almost related aside, do you know who the wildest partier was in the cast of Little House on the Prairie?
Miss Beadle the schoolmarm, who also had a brief fling with Bill Murray.

According to BJ, women were less successful than men at escaping that gravitational pull.

Interesting. Apparently Charlotte Stewart (who played Miss Beadle) had been married to Tim Considine of My Three Sons.
