Local news here is also reporting this. I heard last week he was acquitted? What gives?

I believe he was already serving a life sentence for another murder.

He’s still got life plus for killing another guy.

He was recently acquitted of two additional murders elsewhere.

I hope he’s looking up from Hell now at his victims in Heaven begging for them to fetch him a glass of water...

My theory is that he loved getting attention. His first trial was a nationwide spectacle and it dominated the news cycle. During his second murder trial just concluded, it was mostly a ho-hum affair. Even though he was acquitted in that one, it didn’t even get one tenth the attention the first trial got. So I think he came to the realization that he just wasn’t as important as he once was and now he had a lifetime of hard time ahead of him with no more opportunity for the limelight. That he couldn’t bear.

Also it has to be eating away at him at all that he threw away. The Patriots have won two more Super Bowls since his incarceration and he could have been part of all that and in the spotlight as one of footballs biggest stars with all the wealth and fame that went with it.

He was still only in his 20s and had his whole life ahead of him. Sad that he gave in to the gangsta lifestyle.

Those were the second and third murders he was tried for. He was acquitted last week of those. But he was still serving life without parole. That is a long time to live in a box.
