Thought it well past time to get a 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs discussion thread going, now just 2 games into the 2017 Playoffs.

I don’t care for those teams either, they both won of course. I know I said I wanted Canada out but...meh. My cousin is a Caps fan, probably not happy!

Northern hopes now rest with Ottawa.

I predict Pitt V. Nashville.

Exactly what I am hoping for. I assuage my guilt by admiring the (local) Ducks moves and goals, but in my heart I’m rooting for the Preds. I can’t help it. And that was a great game tonight. The Preds deserved the win. I hope the Ducks do their best but they just don’t make it in.

And I am happy that Canadian teams have been much better represented in the playoffs this year.

Hey. I’ve been a fan of Bylsma’s since reading his life story many years ago to my then tiny hockey player son. I don’t know much about his coaching but his story is amazing.

Love Pekka. Could watch him all day. Butterfly style, super long legs, and puck handling like he had been a player before he was a goalie (maybe true?).

We love him. Great guy all around, great to little kids, never complains, great leader for the team.
I was anxious during that game, watching the refs ignore all the dirty stuff by the Ducks. Getz punching Josi in the face, their guys repeatedly goading ours after the whistle. Perry has a history of taking cheap shots at Pekka. And don't get me started on Kesler. Just like the Blues, only ramped up. I wish we would use our speed more and avoid some of that contact. Refs need to keep games under control and they did not. This will be another hard series to watch. I don't like worrying about guys getting hurt by dirty play.

Good on the Pens tonight. Was kind of shocked to see the Sens stumbling around out there. They seemed scary the first couple games.

But.... it’s not fair to have the cup two years... just be ready to hand it over.... (my heart has gone against my bracket and I am now rooting for the Preds)

Concerned about those Pens. I was rooting for the Sens yesterday because the Pens are on fire. Didn’t do me or the Senators much good tho.

Wish I could have seen the game on NBCSports which was black-screen on my TV down here on Florida’s Space Coast. Bummer. Looking forward to kickin’ some Pens’ ass in the final!
