Former IRS senior executive Lois G. Lerner told a federal court this week that she faces the possibility of death threats if her role in the tax agencys tea party targeting becomes public, and asked a judge to forever seal her upcoming deposition in a class action lawsuit brought by hundreds of groups that were targeted.
Mr. Lerner and Holly Paz, another figure from the IRSs tea party targeting, told the judge theyve already faced harassment and death threats before, when the press was intently covering the tea party scandal. Mss. Lerner and Paz have demonstrated that the public dissemination of their deposition testimony would expose them and their families to harassment and a credible risk of violence and physical harm, they said in documents submitted by their lawyer to Judge Michael R. Barrett.
Both Ms. Lerner and Ms. Paz are among IRS figures whove been ordered to be deposed in the class action lawsuit. Ms. Paz already gave one deposition in the case in 2015. The women want that past deposition, and their future testimony, to remain hidden from the public and only available to the lawyers involved in the case. They asked that the seal be permanent. Ms. Lerner has refused to talk in public about her role in the targeting, famously engaging in a showdown with the

Lying cow.
To be honest, there should already be more than enough information available to the public for someone to ‘overreact with great prejudice’. Not that I’m recommending this!
Protect her. Put her in jail....for life.
She must be joking.
She wants the judge to hide her crimes because she fears retribution from the victims?
Seriously?
Hang on a minute, trying to find a flying fu... Nope, nope, all out.
Bovine Excrement. I’m sure she’s been getting death threats since the day her name first landed in the headlines.
She should be held in protective custody for at least 10-20. That should keep her safe from the public at large.
Boo Hoo. She should be up against a wall for what she did.
She can afford high level Security. Problem is the Libs will probably “off her” if she talks. Judges look for a reason to hide the information. It should be no problem since IRS Commish is an Obama man.
Oh yeah right
Let me be clear:
WHILE I deplore the making of death threats, especially against a woman,
STILL, any bureaucrat or powerful member of the administrative state who uses her position and power to suppress free speech and tilt elections deserves public shame and severe punishment.
I learned in dealing with children from minority communities that when the people no longer expect justice from the government — local, state, or federal, they will start threatening extra-legal responses and looking for ways to carry our those threats.
Every minute that Lerner and Koskinen do not answer for their crimes is a minute that weakens confidence in the government.
Lock the bitch up.
Fiddlesticks!
Lois should be in jail.
Of course Lois Lerner would want to hide the truth ‘forever’. She’s no different from any other person who knows that they have committed criminal acts
But I wonder how many of those “death threats” were sent by Obama regime members or sympathizers as part of a routine Obamunist propaganda and disinformation ploy. Most of them? All of them?
How many “death threats” did she send to herself (or direct to have sent to her)? Who would even know how to find her address, either email or physical, if not her attorneys and fellow Obama regime criminals and their accomplices?
Lois Lerner should be behind bars.
For her own safety, at least.
If she were to refuse to fall on her sword to protect Obama and instead spilled the beans and implicated Obama and or his closest accomplices in her unlawful acts (or is thought to be ‘cooperating’ by uncharacteristically telling the truth), it would be the Obamunists that she would need to fear.
Yes. If the truth comes out, she needs to worry about death threats from the left.
Mr. Lerner???? Oh, that’s funny...
