A stranded great white shark caused quite a stir along the California shore on Friday.
Dozens of people gathered on the cliffs of Pleasure Point in Santa Cruz to watch the 8-foot shark trapped in the shallow reef.
Video from CNN affiliate KSBW then captured the still-alive shark rolling in the incoming tide — bruised and bloodied.
Authorities were notified in the afternoon by someone walking on the beach that people were taking pictures of the shark — including one person in the water, according to the Santa Cruz Sentinel.

Someone with a gun should have pumped a few rounds into the suffering thing.
Local liberals would have called and a SWAT team and they would have executed the guy instantly.

Third possibility: Orcas. We now know that GW Sharks are basically toast when a pod of Killer Whales arrive on the scene. I've seen films of Orcas hunting. There's an intelligence there and they drive their prey, get ahead of it, cut it off. Wouldn't surprise me if the shark went into the shallows in an attempt to evade.
Wife & I went down to the pond last night and there was a poor minnow stranded on the shore line. Poor little guy. We could not save him. We cried all night. /s/
Now if it had been a black shark, it would be a hate crime.
I was a video once of a GW shark off the Farallon Islands.
It moved in to attack a baby killer whale and the momma intercepted and chomped right down on that enormous shark.

Put it in a dog costume and the local PD would have rushed out to shoot it.
Oh yeah. Shark meat is definitely good eatin’.
Dolphins have been known to gang up on a shark as well. Being a young White, it was probably easy prey for either.

I bought some minnows and let them go. I may get a bumper sticker that says “Save The Minnows”. That would be a fun one in Madistan.
