A person’s head is one of the places where the most heat escapes the body.

Here they are running, with impediments to heat loss, something you need when running (heat dissipation).

Sweat on the body helps with this, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to wear that much covering on the head.

If it was during cold weather, it probably wouldn’t be as much an issue.
