So Trump was never to use military force? On the contrary, he didn’t promise that. He also promised to “bomb the sh#^#t out of ISIS”. Trump believes Assad overstepped the line and it’s his prerogative and he has the constitutional authority to use appropriate action as he sees fit. Any loss of Assad’s air power can easily be taken up with our military A/C assets in the region to attack ISIS. Trump now has a different perspective getting regular security briefings from his staff and National Security Advisor, and all the other intelligence briefings than when he was on the outside looking in. Obama just shirked his responsibilities.
That was no war. It was a message.
