I had no idea rest stops were so expensive to maintain.
Hundreds of thousands a year for “bare bone” rest stops!
There was a rest stop along Interstate 79 in Green County,PA. called Lone Pine that was closed because it was a meeting place for Queers.
In Virginia we called them roadside tables. Too many weirdos on the prowl these days.
My last trip to Florida at interstate rest stops FORCED me to change my habit of parking away from the buildings. I had people approach my vehicle on 3 different occasions in 2 separate states asking for gas money. I cut an imposing figure and can usually end any thoughts of further escalation but...I can’t imagine a woman traveling alone and not exercising extreme situational awareness.
After the 3rd hassle I strapped up and remained so the rest of that adventure and now exercise on the side of preparedness routinely.
I used to never believe the Bible Story of Sodom and Gomorrah until I seen how they behaved for the last 10 years or so. One highlight reel of a “Pride” (really Shame) event, and it isn’t hard to imagine an entire city behaving that way.

In every place it is because of queers.
We can have nice things, or we can support the homosexual agenda, but we can’t do both.
Yup. 25 years ago when I was living in Ohio and Michigan stops on less-traveled US highways became hook-up locations for gay men. Even in pre-internet days they had maps which were distributed as far away as Chicago.
The state would eventually give-up trying to patrol them and just close them down.

It points out that perversity is pervasive in our society.
I always think its strange when there are elephants in the room so to speak.
And the elephant here is how homosexuals have swarmed over these rest areas. But authorities are afraid to say this is the reason they are closing rest areas. Since homosexuality is celebrated nowadays in popular culture, and homosexuals have a special high status, nobody wants to say out loud that homosexual activity is a problem in these places.
