Well, my 50 Years of "Star Trek" The original Series - My Sweet 16... seems to have hit a nerve with more than a few--
And this caused my mind to again go back 50 years... to the original "Star Trek"
For my Bottom Feeder Four... Worst Episodes EVER!:
See,my straw reaches acroooooooooss the room
and drinks her milkshake.
Until it’s all gone.
Unfortunately Grace passed on, this May 1st it will be 12 years, and she has traveled at warp speed to a better place.
RIP Yeoman Rand. Thanks for the picture.
"I actually liked most of these TNG episodes. #4 is pretty good, as well as #3. #1 is pretty terrible. no comment on #2."
Man, that's one of my favorites!
I kind of liked “Spectre of the Gun.”
But “Spock’s Brain” was the absolute worse and “Turnabout Intruder” was only slightly behind it. I have watched the whole series multiple times but I have yet to make it through the entire show in one sitting with either of those two. I just can’t stomach them. I don’t have that problem with any of the other episodes.
The new stuff is very worthy as a successor.
I’ve binged watched a few episodes lately.
And the children shall lead: The skipper from gilligans island in a dress and five brats.
Nooooo! That’s Attorney Melvin Belli. The skipper was Alan Hale Jr. His father played Little John in Robin Hood with Errol Flynn and Basil Rathbone. Belli played himself in the Stones movie, Gimme Shelter. Alan Hr played Casey Jones in the series of the same name....a 50s train-western
The absolute final episode.
And the children shall lead is a kind of remake of Miri.
“No blah, blah, blah”
Bite your tongue ! All of the time-travel returns to Earth are among my favorites. The fish out of water details as people from the future find contemporary Earth to be stranger than alien societies is hilarious.
Clearly you never watched the show.
Troi is not human. She is an alien empath. An empath is capable of reading emotions in humans and other aliens, although not actual thoughts. Her purpose on the ship was not just to be a psychologist for crew members but to ascertain the motives of new aliens they might encounter. The universal translator might convert speech, but she was there to identify when the words didn’t ring true compared to the emotions of he aliens speaking.
Yes, how silly to ask advice from your SIX HUNDRED YEAR OLD alien bartender who has been hopping around the galaxy for a 500 years, has past experience of major threats like Q and Borg. What wisdom could they possibly have to offer ?
The new star trek series being created by CBS is slated to have a homosexual woman as commander of the star ship. It is being fully infested with left wing propaganda.
The suits have never understood what made star trek so good. (see infamous air brushing away the tips of spock’s ears in pr photographs) It appears the suits are still stuck on stupid.
She was more the political officer reminiscent of the USSR’s ships.
I guess I’m lost. When was it made, is that the episode title? I thought there was a series by that name?
Are you kidding?
The Way to Eden was a GREAT episode!
I saw it in it’s NBC first-run when I was about 4.
Those weirdos stuck in my head even at that age.
It introduced me to the whole concept of dirty,
smelly hippies.
I have no idea what Whoopi Goldberg does on the show.
As soon as I see that hideous, evil, creature, I turn the channel. That is not an exaggeration in any way and I really do immediately change.
Only Robert Mitchum could have overcome that.
They probably wrote a story so that they could use the “untouchables’ costumes and props on their “American City’ outdoor lot.
