Despite it’s influence, I personally think this album is overrated. Other than A Day In The Life and Good Morning, Good Morning, I dont care for the songs on it.
But thats just me.
It’s OK to be wrong.
The Who Sell Out was the best album that came out in 1967.
“Within you Without you” is what kills it for me.
Not just you. It may have been eye popping in it's day but there is never a day when I think "boy would I enjoy hearing 'Lovely Rita Meter Maid', 'When I'm 64', 'She's Leaving Home', or 'Mister Kite' right now!". Does anyone?
I can listen to Rubber Soul or Revolver or Abby Road from beginning to end over and over. Sgt Pepper, not so much.

Too much McCartney on Pepper.
I much prefer Revolver, Rubber Soul and the White Album.
I like every tune on the album except “She’s Leaving Home,” which really sucks.
It’s not just you. They jumped the shark with Pepper and didn’t do much good after that except for Abbey Road.
Cheers,
Jim
