It finally dawned on me, what the so called "news" has become.
I watch these so called news shows and here's what I see: 1) Almost no "hard" news is ever reported, certainly if it is it's never "balanced". 2) The "news" really starts off as "fake" news - something that is typically anti-Trump and has no substantiation. 3) All the (so called) reporters like a Major Garrett or Charlie Rose et al "comment" on the news and typically offer "opinion" and "conjecture" - they mostly offer up false scenario's and comment on them thru the anti-Trump biased lens of the MSM attempting to make their story more authoritative. 4) Basically what they do is comment on false hypotheticals and promote them - i.e. The reason Flynn wants "immunity" is because, hypothetically, Trump and his campaign committed crimes, probably worked with Putin - 5) Finally, to add "credibility" they sponsor a poll and report the poll results which amazingly support their hypotheticals - thus going full circle from manufactured anti-Trump fake news to a "story", with reporters assuming the fake news and commenting as if it were true.
So why do they do this? It's in reality no longer news, it's "entertainment", they believe this will attract not 50% of the population in a split country, but 100% because each side will view their hypotheticals and make up their own spin and believe it.
For example, the fake news says Flynn demands protection. The libs believe it's because he will bury Trump with evidence and wants protection, the conservatives believe it's because the liberal activists judges will convict him when the Dems play politics with his testimony and cry for a special investigation.
Bottom line, we no longer have credible TV News - we have Fake news from almost every outlet. Nothing they say can really be believed - consumers are better off watching events live and making up their own mind.
So the whole "news"
Last weekend CBS Sunday Morning had an interview with Sean Hannity by Ted Koppel. They aired about 1-1/2 minutes of the 45-50 minute interview with Sean. He foolishly did not record the interview himself and CBS (i.e. See BS) refuses to provide the original tape.
Charles Osgood retired from hosting the Sunday morning show last fall. I always considered him liberal but fair and enjoyed listening to him on the AM radio dial back in my 70’s college days. His replacement is Jane Pauley was host of NBC’s Today show in the 1980’s. Although her credentials also go way back, in my opinion she is tainted by her marriage to serious Trump hater and of all things conservative, cartoonist Garry Trudeau, the creator of Doonesbury.
My wife was commenting on how beautiful TS is. I said, she looks like a typical HWP mall rat with a makeover.
I dunno. Maybe my wife was setting me up. And I passed. :-)
Careful, Bro., It’s a trap!

"We're [television industry] in the boredom-killing business. We deal in illusion, man; none of it is real! We'll tell you any sh!t you want to hear!"
I'm kind of glad that network news shows no longer pretend to be fair or lay claim to 'hard-hitting reporting' or 'investigative journalism' and that they've done away with the Huntley-Brinkley/Cronkite model of serious avuncular newsmen one can 'trust'.
Now we're given straight-up brash buffoons; if we view them as anything other than the clowns they are, the fault lies with us.
This week they were fetting Alex Balswin for his hateful spiteful Trump impression on SNL calling him genius and saying 75% of America loved it. PATHETIC, constant bombardment of fake anti-Trump "news".
