Settle Mayor Files Lawsuit Over 'Sanctuary City' Funding; Blasts Trump's "War On Cities"

Ed Murray, the Mayor of the city of Seattle, has just launched yet another federal lawsuit against the Trump administration's threat to withhold federal grants to so-called "sanctuary cities," citing the 10th Amendment that deals with states' rights. Murray also took to his bully pulpit to blast the Trump administration's "war on cities" while simultaneously declaring that Seattle isn't "breaking any laws" by simply choosing to ignore certain federal mandates. Per NBC News:

"Apparently the Trump administration, their war on facts, has now become a war on cities," Seattle Mayor Ed Murray said. He said the goal of the suit is to have a judge declare the order unconstitutional.

"Let me be clear about the facts: We are not breaking any laws and we are prioritizing safety," Murray said.

If Trump has a war on sanctuary cities, I hope the first one to get nuked is Seattle.

Taking out Marxist cesspools, one bomb at a time. I like it.

Ah, the fantasies in Murray’w warped mind leave open the existence of counter-fantasies.

Another mini impeachment by lawyers and judges. Trump should not be obligated to these lawsuits as it should be a motion of Congress blocking him, period.

This is fracking ridiculous how badly Trump’s legal team is advising him.

Presidential immunity from any pooitical prosecutor means
something

I would say Seattle has declared war on America by harboring illegal aliens.

Laws are now “mandates”.

Gerry Brown called them “concepts” many years ago. LOL

Want to end not only sanctuary cities but illegal aliens very quickly, simply stop allowing them to get welfare of any form. Sanctuary cities would dry up quicker than a rain storm in the Gobi desert.

“I hope the first one to get nuked is Seattle”

No No

Seattle is a fantistic area what needs to happen is. It needs to be walled up and SACKED - they are nothing but sissy’s and other wierdness.

It would be easy...

They are completly surounded by militarty, conservitives, right leaning folks and all the cities power comes from out of greater seattle and so many bridges and choke points.

these cities are declaring war on their own citizens by allowing rapists, murderers, drunk drivers illegals etc to operate freely in their cities- then they directly take m oney away fro mthe states by refusing to comply with the actual law- and turn around and blame it on the federal gov3rnment-

Typical liberals- always blaming others for their own despicable actions

All right, just a small nuke to take out the city council, mayor and related commies, black extremists, and dopers.

I did some govt work there and it was a beautiful city but I did have to step over drug addicts, and that was in 1995.

Now Seattle has miles of homeless tent cities under the freeways.

Mayor Murray’s constituents.

At some point in this fiasco, President Trump will hopefully realize there are 3 EQUAL branches of gov’t and that he is NOT beholden to the Judiciary.

He does not need their approval or disapproval. Judges have no power over him. They are not his superior despite prevailing ignorant thought.

If only our electorate had remained vigilant.

DJT, do as your hero, Andrew Jackson did. Tell the judges to go to hell and proceed with the authority that you have.

That’s my .02.
