I think Trump is doing the best he can. I also think he was wrong on Ryancare.

As for folks listening to God or not, it’s not always as easy as that. Only the very astute religious person will know what God truly wants, and even then they’ll make mistakes from time to time. We are not perfect. We will not get God’s true intent perfectly.

At times it will seem like we are doing right when we aren’t.

I don’t want the government involved with normal health care provision for the middle and upper class.

Those groups should purchase their own policies without government interference.

Different people will have different opinions on how that’s going to be done best.

I support folks doing things in accordance with our Constitution. While I think it would be wrong not to come at it from that angle, I don’t see it as an affront to God, a purely evil act.

Do I think it is evil? In a way I do, but I see it as more of a mistake than downright intentional evil. The government should not be involved here, and taking money from Peter to pay for Paul’s care is wrong.

I’m not sure I’d call on God here to put a guy down over it.

It is a bizarre and complicated process, especially obvious because the entire host of hell is after DJT.

That’s why I just have to observe what’s going on without the typical view that oh look, another one has been assimilated, or that it’s yet another case of meet the new boss same as the old boss.

The point about Nebuchadnezzar or any world leader, is that it is God who installs rulers or brings them down. As long as the President has that view all is well in spite of appearances. No perfection required.

However, if he should default to a faith in his own understanding, intellect, and will for success, that may have worked for his towers, but not for DC, where the hordes of hell all have their seats of authority from Satan, and they are livid that God made Donald Trump their chief executive.

The insanity of this Ryancare debacle is, I think, evidence of a major spiritual upheaval over who is truly in control of the narrative. It’s not the swamp or the President and therefore all sides have been thrown into confusion until they figure it out. :)

Dadfly nailed it: the President should just “let God work”.

That’s when the miracles will miraculously happen. The swamp is too evil for man alone to battle. Each vile creature is a Legion of demons. And that’s on a good day.

Before I retired, from a large corporation, my health insurance (for the best plan available), was $500/month, AFTER my company had paid their share. That was just for me, not my husband. If I had bought a comparable plan on the open market, it would have cost me $1500/month IF they would have sold me one, which they wouldn’t, because I have diabetes and high blood pressure (both well controlled). Plus, there would have been a pre-existing condition clause. I am in no way, in favor of obamacare, but there has to be some way to reduce the cost of health insurance, for middle class folks. The wealthy can afford to pay, the poor get Medicaid. But there is a huge group of people, who make a little more (to quite a bit more) than the level at which Medicaid will cover, who could absolutely NOT be able to afford insurance. If a couple makes over $24,600 per year, they are not eligible for assistance. With obamacare, states increased that amount, depending on the state. For the purpose of argument, without assistance, how would a couple with that income be able to afford insurance on the open market? And poverty guidelines add $6000/yr allowable income per eligible household member. People over these incomes are not eligible for housing assistance or food stamps, either. Now, $500/week take home income may not sound too bad to you. We’re talking about 2 people who make minimum wage, each working 40 hrs/week. But food, housing, car insurance, utilities, clothing, taxes, home insurance all adds up, most likely, to a lot more. Many people work 2 jobs. Are they going to be able to afford $3,000/month just for insurance? And there are people who make quite a bit more, but have a few kids, and their cost of living is a lot higher. Family plans are for two or more.
My point is not that we need national health care. My point is that insurance is too high. Period. Medications are too high. Opening up state lines, the panacea of many “experts” is NOT going to make insurance and drug companies less greedy. I keep hearing, “the costs will go down, just like car insurance costs have gone down, if we can buy across state lines!” Really? We have car insurance, as most of you do. Have your car insurance rates gone down dramatically, or enough to make a difference? Sure, you can find car insurance that is cheaper than the highest plans out there. But that doesn’t mean they’re AFFORDABLE. It just means they’re cheaper than others. If you leave it up to health insurance companies, they may lower their prices to be more competitive, but that doesn’t mean they’ll be affordable. Pharmaceuticals are now owned by just two or three corporations. They have NO incentive to lower prices. I believe in free enterprise and I believe in capitalism. But I do NOT believe insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies should be allowed to price gouge the way they do. The insurance and pharmaceutical lobbies spend many millions, to make sure our legislators do not pass ANY legislation that will prevent them from making obscene profits. Insurance commissions in every state, are there to protect the insurance companies, NOT us, believe it or not. Pharmaceutical companies run the FDA, and have for years. Neither one of these things should be the case. Until insurance and pharmaceutical companies are MADE to lower their prices, we will have massive amounts of people who cannot afford insurance. And decent insurance, if that, if I may make so bold. No, I don’t want a national health plan. But I want decent insurance to be made AFFORDABLE. Is that too much to ask?
