"The buck stops where? The kenyan is long gone. Nobody is going to buy that deflection except do-nothing “principled conservatives”."

Uh, the program's accepted name, even according to the leftist media, is "Obamacare". That is called "a legacy". And yes, that is where the buck stops for this particular problem.

So what is the plan for Obamacare now?

The new plan is to negotiate with Democrats when they are ready and do a great national bargain. It will probably include some form of single payer for those states that want it and insurance across state lines and no coverage for abortion for states that want that. It will not be as conservative as it would have been with just Republican votes but a bipartisan bill will not be repealed and replaced.

All I care about is that beautiful wall. Anything else we get from Mr. Trump is gravy.

Turn off Faux Snooze.

Paul Ryan aka ‘The Shiv’ is the one and only one responsible for the failure.

Paul Ryan erred (IMO) when he went behind closed doors with his uniparty, one world order fellow socialists and crafted a bill he then tried to cram up everyone's back side. They even used the exact same spin to sell it as Obama. Trump forced the issue to push a compromise with the Freedom Caucus. Ryan pulled the bill rather than accept any compromise from conservatives. Paul Ryan is a Democrat. He just runs as a Republican so he can get elected.

This is in “Breaking News?” Isn’t Free Republic still supposed to be a conservative site or is it becoming some kind of kook site?

Give me a break. Get a grip. Grow up. If America struggles forward under Obamacare, and it continues to suck, this will vindicate Trump, and make the case for repeal and replacement. In the mean time, he can blame it all on his predecessor, just as his predecessor did to Bush 43.

Such bull.

While we sit and wait for a good health care plan an American Presidency is being destroyed.

I am convinced these investigation stall tactics are to give enough time to manufacture evidence to bring this Presidency to an end.

I am praying Chairman Nunes can prevail.

You wanted the bill where Paul Ryan rearranges the deck chairs on the Titanic and calls it safe now? (Stolen from Dana Loeche).

I want to back Trump too. But let him give us something worth fighting for and let’s dump Paul Ryan as speaker

Freedom Caucus drives dagger into heart of young Trump Presidency>>>>>>>>>>>>

Peek is so full of shite that she wouldn’t know the taste of cake if it was driven between her teeth.

The Freedom Caucus just saved the Trump presidency, and it won’t be saved much more.

The GOP-e is acting in bad faith, a cattery of slithereens whose only goal is to flush money into the pockets of the wealthy lobbyists at the expense of the People. The ba$tards are out of date, they still think George Bush is president.

The GOP-e wants more anger from America? They are going to get it.

A less bad socialist disaster than the current socialist disaster. Plus, once the ACA was overturned, you’d actually get Dem votes on future changes meaning you could piece meal changes. Instead, you are stuck with the ACA. Congrats.

Zero chance you’d get the Senate to vote for a clean ACA repeal at the moment. Maybe in 2019 if Rs pick up 4-5 seats, but that would be in jeopardy if we can’t get tax reform/healthcare/regulatory reform done. And then we’ll just be stuck with ACA and if Dems win in 2020, you can bet single payer would be next.

“Only 17% backed the horrid healthcare bill that Trump insisted on repeatedly telling us was “great”.

That’s the same talking point one of the FC members just put forth on Fox And Friends.

And, let me get this straight... we’re supposed to believe some stupid poll now... WHY? What more could they possible have done, given this last election, to show themselves as utterly corrupt and unreliable?

Those moderate voters would not vote for the 2015 repeal now that there is an R in office and frankly wouldn’t survive a filibuster. I hope you like the ACA as is, because it looks like that’s what we’re stuck with. Once the ACA was repealed with the ACHA, you’d have got a lot of Dems in the future to make changes for the better. Instead, we are probably permanently stuck with ACA and likely eventually Single payer next time Dems take over.

Agree. Total BS article. 100% of the blame is on Paul Ryan. He lied to the president and the nation this was a repeal, when it wasn’t, and he failed to understand the rules of reconciliation; either that or he deliberately lied about them.

The Freedom Caucus did the right thing.

Although noble in cause the Freeom Caucus did damage its own cause, we are not going back to what 1900, modern finance combined with the welfare state is here to stay. And in politics you have to take wins where you can get them, even if there not blowouts. Our cause stabbed us in the back. This ship is not going to turn around on a dime, it’ll be a slow turn as the American people see there’s a better way than the coming socialism. Yes the Freedom Caucus made a decision to protect their seats, not promote their cause. Let em carry those banners the county continues to sink.
