Domestic Spying: Rep. Devin Nunes, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, says that the Obama administration surveilled Donald Trump's transition aides and possibly Trump himself following November's election. If true, it warrants a major investigation.
"I recently confirmed that on numerous occasions the intelligence community ... collected information about U.S. citizens involved in the Trump transition," Nunes told reporters.
Nunes immediately came under intense criticism from congressional Democrats for his revelations. What's both hilarious and sad is that these are the very same Democrats who have been nearly silent as a series of illegal leaks from the intelligence bureaucracy have made their way into the mainstream media, in a transparent attempt by unnamed intelligence officials to damage Trump's presidency.
Nunes, speaking Wednesday and citing only "sources," was careful to note that the surveillance of Trump aides appeared to be both legal and "incidental" that is, not part of a directed spying operation on Trump.
Of course, that appears to be literally true. But it's also irrelevant. Democrats and the media keep mentioning the word "incidental" as if it exonerates what now appears to be a domestic spying operation against Trump directed from the Obama White House.
"Incidental" doesn't mean unintentional.

Wonder if John Roberts was surveilled, too....
>>Wonder if John Roberts was surveilled, too....
************************************************
From what we are finding out, EVERYONE is surveilled in every possible way.
So yes, John Roberts was surveilled, along with Andrew Breitbart, Antonin Scalia, Michael Hastings....EVERYONE.
I noticed that Johm McCain and other democrats are disturbed that Nunes did not alert Representative Schiff, the democrat jackal from California, before going to President Trump. Did he and his comrades hold back from accusing President Trump of collusion with Russian operatives without evidence?
I guess we're going to find out today. The Sunday shows should be interesting
The Congress (ignoring that Obama-the-cryptoMoslem
was not even a citizen having given it up) deserves
everything that comes from this treason and sedition.
McCain is an idiot. He’s still on Russia, the jerk. They need to look back 10 months from Inauguration Day into Obama’s surveillance.
McCain and Graham are in deep, deep trouble. That is the only reason they are acting this way.
I'm delighted Nunes had the good sense to go to the President first. It's called insurance, and in this particular situation it is a very, very good thing.
Nunes not only got himself some insurance, he showed himself to be a loyal Republican, and loyal to this particular president but who does not forget such things. Look for him to start going places after this story really breaks. It may take a couple of years, but if he wants it I am quite sure that he will have a cabinet position.
“Incidental” doesn’t mean unintentional.
Kinda like “collateral damage”.

If true, it warrants several high level deaths
McCain’s in the middle of this, and he knows it. Golden Showers? Those Russian comics who tricked him on the phone, discussing the Russian sanctions?
"Incidental". Like the nosy neighbor who claims to be bird watching, but seems to always be directing his bird watching in the direction of the neighbors pool; and only when their teenage daughter is sunbathing.

Smart move to make the evidence public. Otherwise someone in the Deep State might disappear Nunes.
Never forget those pranks by comedians who ho recorded Graham and McCain. I had seen reports that McConnell had one, too, but never actually heard it. Might be a good time to go listen to them again.
Linda isnt on the gang of 8 who is suppose to give approval on spying matters
They’re focusing on the incidental collection and ignoring the real story which is the unmasking and dissemination. Typical media move of lying by omission.
And I’m not convinced that the collection was merely incidental and not the real point of the surveillance, but that is a harder case to prove.
