Well,...Today is tbi awareness Day.
Has there been anything about it in your loal news or in the National News, that you've heard or read of?
Seems it is still the UNSPOKEN DISABILITY, Injury, and Forgotten Wound.
Don't feel bad if you didnt know.
Don't feel bad if you don't know what tbi means. Many Doctors don't know, even with Doctor's having to help tbi victims recover, since 1841 and they still don't know how.
Throttle Body Injection?
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) refers to damage to the brain caused by an external physical force such as a car accident, a gunshot wound to the head, or a fall. ... It is possible to have a TBI and never lose consciousness. For example, someone with a penetrating gunshot wound to the head may not lose consciousness.
Ten Bit Interface?
Seems to afflict Camaros and corvettes built in the early 80’s. :/
Is this similar to:
Trump
Un-acceptance &
Resistance
Disorder
Does tbi affect your ability to spell and write clearly?
Apparently it does.
See reply #3.
And .. TBI can also be caused by a sudden jerking of the neck, thrusting the head back and forth with extreme force. The brain is literally bounced back and forth in the brain cavity.
It actually causes bruising to the brain. The severity of the bruising can cause death.
If almost everyone has it, it’s not really a condition.
Thank you for posting. I’ll add it to my calendar since mention of this hidden wound is scarce.
Good site for info, please share other resources.
A worthwhile awareness day, as most don’t seem to know what it is or how it can change your life. Thanks!
While I am all in for combat veterans who have likely been subjected to brain injuries due to explosions and combat trauma being grouped together, I am worried about making a victim group that is so broad it envelops them and anonymizes them. I think they deserve special status.
Heck, I have have a few concussions, one time hitting a linoleum floor so hard that my head sounded like a bowling ball bouncing on it...I could be part of that group.
I didn’t know this. I have had students over the years with TBIs, including one this year, but I had no idea such an awareness day existed. Thanks for getting out the word!
sYmptoms INclude eRRatic capitalization.

Buy Awareness Day!!!!!!
Oh I thought it was Buy Awareness Day. Darn.. I must have TBI. (no, i don’t mean to minimalize the trouble, In actuality, I have chemo-brain)
Our veterans of the IED era are terribly afflicted by TBI. Someone told me that modern helmets actually amplify the percussive damage to brain tissue from being near explosions, whereas the old steel helmets did a better job of protecting the brain from shock waves...No idea if it’s true.
GMC and Chevy Light Trucks too.
