Yes, Mount Vernon is a good choice. Sometimes you wonder how much kids pick up from various tours...when our electricity went out and I was lighting candles, our young daughter started bringing out mirrors to put behind the candles because, as she said, that’s what they did in George Washington’s ballroom to get more light from the candles.
Thank you. I think that’s a great idea. Being former military I get it. My kids however will see the gravity of how our brave men and women have fought for our country and the freedoms we take for granted.
