Andrew Engelking doesn't know exactly how he was able to catch his kids and break the fall of his pregnant wife as they leapt from their third-floor Spenard apartment to escape a deadly fire that destroyed the building a month ago.

Pretty amazing heroics by this young man!
My wife was born 3 months early at 2.5 pounds.
And that was 49 years ago.
I have faith in the little tyke’s odds.
As for a miracle, the miracle is that God gave us bodies that could perform such feats if necessary.
I dont know if God intervened directly on this one, but he intervened long ago anyway when he gave us these miraculous bodies.
Holy cow, they make ‘em tough in Alaska! Glad they made it.
I’ve been there.
3:00 in the morning, kids and wife with a house on fire.
The dog saved our lives.
praise the Lord for this family’s saving........
.”There are lightweight rope and chain ladders”
I wonder. This guy and his wife acted heroically of course I wonder, with the fractures and the deceleration trauma causing the premature birth (placenta rupture or something related) whether this is the billionth case in which people refuse to plan based on dependence on government or third party ‘health’ care
That is an amazing story. A tragedy but also a beautiful story of miraculous survival.
The kind of thing real parents do together.
this is that Palin hate blog .
stop posting this dem front group trying to fool people into following it.
it’s a scam .
I reported you and this post .
My grand parents list there house during the depression to fire... All 13 kids survived as did the parents, but there were some heroic actions taken by the older children that night. They lost everything. But the town rallied around them and helped them through a very rough period. The Charity put forth by the community was a lifesaver.
Actually, I thought those were required on buildings of 3 stories or more, if there’s no fire escape. I know my last 3rd floor apartment had one.
Good plan. But each member of the family should practice using the ladder at least once. Crisis is no time for experimentation. Don't buy one of these and then just put it in the closet. If you live on the third floor, practice from the first floor is OK too. ;o)
