There were two women being chanced by pirates and then a male pirate comes through the door being chased by a fat woman. This passed for humor, as in bring on the pirates, I’m fat and can’t get a man otherwise, even a pirate, unless I chase him.

I had heard that was dropped from the attraction, because pirates chasing women and by extension having their way with them (read raping) is no longer PC. I defer to someone who has been on the ride the last 10 years.

The last time I was on the “Pirates of Caribbean” ride was in 1978.

I believe you’re right about the changes; Disneyland went the PC route in recent years and made some changes to “Pirates of the Caribbean.”

That used to be the first ride I would go on when we went to Disneyland......E tickets were the best. Who here remembers E tickets?

If I recall, there was a chubby woman chasing a bearded skinny pirate who had a scared look on his face.

Yes, there were a few pirates chasing pretty girls around in a circle, then you'd get to the chubby girl chasing the skinny pirate. I wonder if that's still part of the ride. I always thought it was funny!

My favorite part of the ride was the dog holding the keys to the jail.
