Interesting that the mother who had been given the incorrect child did not notice.
To: Little Pig
Was not a mother but mother’s coworker, so she would not have known. She was just picking up a “child”.

what do you mean "women still insist on using daycare"?...its called having to go to work...
maybe you should rephrase your statement to read "Parents still insist on using daycare"....

It’s like major sports, if the contract is up the kid chose free agency for better perks.

A mother does not know her own child? Must have been chatting on her cellphone while picking up the wrong kid.

and being a “mother” is not working? It’s only the most important job ever, beside maybe a “father”.
Yes I know in some places both paychecks are needed but then with some people it’s a “lifestyle” choice. When it’s a lifestyle choice who pays? The child does growing up in a nasty daycare. Every day more horror stores come out on these places. Was it really worth it?

You must have been chatting on the cellphone rather than reading the article. It was the mother’s co-worker who, as authorized by the mother, went to pick up the child.

The mother sent a co-worker who had never met the child.

To make matters worse, Smith said there wasn't any surveillance video recorded of the person who took her child.
"I was told the cameras weren't functioning, Smith said.
What's the point of having security cameras if they don't work?

Generally in these situations, the mother has to explicitly designate anyone else allowed to pick up the child, and they’re supposed to be people who are well known. It’s surprising that the mother would designate someone who can’t recognize the kid.
