Keeping up with Win 10 is becoming a full time occupation.
Thank goodness for Win 7!

Glad I decided not to bite on the Win 10 upgrade after seeing more and more articles like this.

You understand that Microsoft is simply going to the same deployment model as Apple and Android, right? Instead of upgrading the OS every 5 years, they’re simply updating the components around the kernel. Do you grouse this much every time Apple or Google release a new version of their OS?

dayglored, you’re welcome. I have lots of sympathy for folks that have to keep up with this.

From the article: "The current version, the 1607 Anniversary Update, is the most stable and obvious choice, and it will remain so for many months. But real improvements lurk in 1703."
I get the impression that version 1776 will be the one to wait for. ;-)

Win 10 is more difficult to navigate and they took off stole the free games I enjoyed.

Do you grouse this much every time Apple or Google release a new version of their OS? No, because, since I don't use Apple or Google, I don't even know about their updates unless I read about it.
It's rare to come across an Apple or Android aficionado who has complaints about their OS. Granted, the percentage of Apple or Android users is a small percentage compared to Windows.
IMHO, MSFT's problems began when they got really invasive and stopped users from turning off updates.

I’ve never complained about an iOS update in my life until the last one, not sure why but it’s a battery hog compared to what was on it previously, tough to make it through the day without plugging it into the charger now no matter how much or how little I’ve used it. Not an old iPhone either, less than a year so it’s not the battery itself.

Even Windows 7 isnt as good as XP wasGranted, my decision to go from XP to 7 was reluctant.
If hardware and software manufacturers had continued to write device drivers and software for XP I'd prolly still be there.

You are not alone. I'll give up my Win 7 when they pry it from my cold, dead hard-drive.

Windows 10 is a virus that shows up unannounced and unwanted. I finally got around it on my computer and have never used it since. It was impossible to delete, I just minimized it and keep it there.
