Listen to “Mister Kingdom” from Eldorado. About as Beatle-esque as it gets.
They were the best when Kelly Groucutt provided the backing vocals. IMHO it’s not ELO without him, and he passed away a few years ago.
That song is from “Face the Music”, which also has “Fire On High”.
Jeff could do so many different genres, there’s even a country song on that album, and it sounds as good as anything this side of Nashville.
But it also has one of the best ELO songs ever, “One Summer Dream.”
