FULL TITLE: Arkansas plans execution spree with eight criminals set to be put to be death within ten days next month
Arkansas is set to go on a killing spree in April after the state's Supreme Court cleared the way for eight Death Row inmates to be executed in the space of 10 days.
Attorney General Leslie Rutledge said: 'It is past time for the victims' families to see justice for the horrible murders of their loved ones.'
Arkansas has not executed an inmate since 2005 due to legal challenges and difficulties obtaining execution drugs.
But in 2015 Arkansans elected a Republican Governor, Asa Hutchinson, and a GOP Attorney General to replace Democrats and both have put the death penalty high on their agenda.

Perhaps if England returned to the days of the hangman they might get a grip on their own crime problem.
Ron White, I think.
Read up on their crimes. WOW. Sounds like Arkansas is just taking out the trash.
Spree???
Whatever. Just kill them.
If they used an inert gas they wouldn’t expensive chemicals that are difficult to obtain.
Well, “Hanging Judge” Isaac Parker did hold court in Western Arkansas.
“execution spree”
Deliberate choice of words, designed to show the writer’s hatred for the death penalty.

“If they used an inert gas they wouldnt expensive chemicals that are difficult to obtain.”
I disagree. Inert chemicals still means some sort of sealed chamber, with a window for witnesses to watch and medical gadgets to tell when they’ve croaked. This is still costly.
Just take one of the guards hand guns, take a bullet that would ordinarily be used for qualifying, take the condemned to the morgue and just do it. The ME can certify the death and we they are done. Costs are really minimized.
Someone has the vapors over justice being served - that same person likely has no problem with an abortion being performed up to the last minute.
“***Arkansas is set to go on a killing spree***”
Where was all the pompus pontificating and hand wringing over the immorality of capital punishment when Tim McVeigh got it? Other than a small article buried in USA Today about a few Jesuits doing a lackluster rendition of Jesus carrying the Cross, not much. Also Larry Brewer, for murdering James Bird. Little if any protest. Their appeals process and eventual executions were sure as hell put on the fast track weren’t they? Not that these SOB’s didn’t get what they deserve. And now that window licking retard Dylann Roof is on death row and will hopefully get his just rewards before long, where’s the outrage from the left? Gotta hand it to them, they are adept at picking and choosing their fights.
Headline should have read “Arkansas makes a good start.”
So many murders . . . so few executions.
Nitrogen Asphxyation - simply the least expensive, painless, lawyer free way to execute someone.
Strap them down; put on a brain wave monitor, put on a breathing mask, flow 100% at 1.1 atmospheres and wait for the brain waves to go flat.
“Difficulty getting execution drugs” was Nebraska’s excuse when they tried to end the death penalty. A referendum brought it back.
They just need to change the method of execution. There is no shortage of bullets. Or people who will fire them.
I wonder how this killing spree compares to the killing that the condemned did? Were they ever called sprees?
I forget which one, but one state that’s being sued to have lethal injection declared “cruel and unusual” just reauthorized firing squads and hanging in case the suit succeeds.
The Texas Department of Corrections has a website for their Death Row.It shows, among other things a list of those executed and the "last statement" made by each one before death.A surprisingly large percentage (surprising to *me*.at least) of those who made a statement (not all do) accepted responsibility for the crime, expressed remorse to the family of their victim *and* asked for God's forgiveness.
I'm inclined to be impressed by such guys...and inclined to suspect that these guys actually did have a conscience.
Two things...
1. Fire up Sparky
2. Can I help?
